Narrative is storytelling—simple, direct, transparent writing that takes the reader right to the thing that happened. And it’s at the heart of all enduring prose.
This workshop is for emerging and established writers working on fiction or non-fiction projects—short story, personal essay, novel, memoir.
In this hands-on workshop, we’ll review the principles of narrative, look at examples of great narrative at work, learn to identify trouble spots and weed out weak and imprecise language. Participants will be asked to submit one page of prose to be reviewed in front of the class during the workshop (details to come).
This workshop is designed to get your prose unstuck and moving, suit you up for great revisions or just get you started on your way!
Limited to 12 participants.
