While we're reading your 2014 entries, you can read last year's grand prize and published winner: Moss-Haired Girl: The Confessions of a Circus Performer by Zara Zalinzi by R. H. Slansky. The novel will be launched at the end of this month. Even better, if you live in the Vancouver area, (or you don't, but you're ambitious) you can attend a reading by R. H. Slansky at the Brickhouse (730 Main Street) on Saturday, November 29th. Doors at 8:00 p.m. The event combines the powers of the 3-Day Novel Contest, Geist, subTerrain, Anvil Press, and Real Vancouver Writers Series for an evening of literary merriment. (Whew, what a line-up!) Read an excerpt from the novel on the Geist website here. As always, follow us on Twitter and Facebook to connect with us and stay updated.
